2022 discoveries: Seville, Spain

· · · · · · · ·

Seville was one of the many destinations we personally visited this year. One of the most challenging (and fun) parts of our job is constant research by travel! We visit the destinations, hotels and locations that we recommend to our clients personally throughout the year. This means that we never send you somewhere that we don’t love. We can personally attest to the best places to see, eat, drink and explore in each of Bella Vita’s destinations.

These past few weeks, we are sharing some of our top choices for 2022. Some are new destinations, some are old friends. This week, one of our favorite cities in Spain is the star! Seville is the perfect size for exploring. Art, history, great food, culture and amazing experiences are some of the many reasons we love this city.

Hotels in Seville

EME Catedral Mercer

Chic, slick and excellent location. Don’t miss the rooftop bar where you can practically touch the Duomo while enjoying a creative cocktail. Hotel EME Catedral Mercer is in the heart of the Santa Cruz District, in an unbeatable location close to the Giralda and Seville Cathedral. A modern, up-to-date 5 star hotel in a typical 16th-century Andalusian building, in which contemporary design merges with the value of what is historical.

Triana House

Located in the hip Triana district, just across the river from the old town. This boutique hotel oozes color, glamour, and romance – and is gorgeously Andalusian.

Hotel Colon Grand Melia

An excellent choice for families, right smack in the middle of the old town with plenty of connecting rooms. Renovated with a striking combination of art, color and style, Hotel Colón, a Gran Melia Hotel is located in the shopping are of the historic old quarter of Seville. It is five minutes walking distance from the city’s most important monuments and attractions. It is also five minutes driving distance from the World Trade Center of La Cartuja. Gran Meliá Colón features chic minimalist guestrooms and suites with a sophisticated, Spanish atmosphere.

Restaurants in Seville

Casa Robles in Seville

One of the city’s best restaurants for nearly 70 years, specializes in traditional Andalusian cuisine.

Abades Triana

Overlooking the river and Golden tower of the old town, this is a super romantic spot serving Avant-garde Andalusian Cuisine. The restaurant Abades Triana is known for the scenic setting it provides as it takes in the historic surroundings through floor-to-ceiling windows, out on the terrace, or within the VIP space of a glass Cube that’s positioned over the river.

Maria Trifulca

Great location on the river with a sleek interior. Terrace seating is great but if it rains your reservations will be canceled without a chance to move inside! You can only book within one month ahead of your desired dinner date. Good mix of meat and seafood dishes.

The magic of Seville…

Seville is a great choice for a tailor made trip to Spain!

We hope that these itinerary ideas provided some travel inspiration for a future holiday. As always, its our mission and promise to make your Mediterranean travel dreams come true!
