Where to go in 2023: London

London is another destination in the Bella Vita travel portfolio. Big Ben, the Tower of London, Buckingham Palace, the London Eye, the sites to see are so many! More than that, it is a city of innovation and culture. One of our favorite cities to visit, London is always a special experience.

As many of our clients already know, Bella Vita Travels has expanded beyond the Mediterranean for years now. We’ve been helping clients plan tailor made dream vacations to different destinations around the world. The United Kingdom is a country that is very close to our hearts. London, above all, is a city that we visit frequently throughout the year.

Many of our clients feel the same way. London has been one of our most highly requested destinations of 2023! Opposite from some of our Mediterranean trips, London is a city that is a great choice even in the fall. This means that though the summer might be impossible to plan a trip to the sea, London is still a great option – for this year or next!

This is a travel trend we’ve seen over the past few months with client requests, and we are sharing some of our favorite tours and client choices from this special cirty.

London for families: Harry Potter tour

Meet your private guide (and Harry Potter connoisseur) at King’s Cross and follow them as they take your family to some of the most iconic areas of London related to Harry Potter. This is a tour that so many of our clients have requested this year!

You will start your magical journey by searching for Platform 9 3⁄4 and, once you have found it, taking your family picture taken without having to wait in line. After a quick visit to the Harry Potter store, hop in a private Mercedes V-class minivan and enjoy the sightseeing ride to Leadenhall Market.

On the way, your guide will point out a lot of different areas that are either shown or mentioned in the Harry Potter saga, such as the Saint Pancras Renaissance Hotel (where the Weasley’s magical Ford Anglia takes off in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets), the British Library, the London Zoo (Harry makes a window disappear in the Reptile House), Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square etc.

The guided tour ends in Leadenhall market, also known as Diagon Alley in the movie. From there, you will be driven back to your hotel.

Hotel: Brown’s Hotel

The location is in the heart of Mayfair, near theaters, galleries, and shopping on Bond Street. Brown’s Hotel offers a quintessential British experience with a contemporary twist. No visit to London would be complete without coming in for the decadent Afternoon Tea! Savvy travelers enjoy the refined, stylish guest rooms, many of which interconnect, making them ideal for families. Step into the stylish spa for a relaxing Rocco Forte Rituals treatment. Be sure to head to the new restaurant, Charlie’s, for British art and seasonal cuisine. Try Salvatore Calabrese’s original cocktails at the Donovan Bar.

Restaurant: Mount St, London

This modern London restaurant, located on the first floor of iconic Mayfair landmark The Audley, brings together food and drink, craftsmanship and culture.

Designed by Studio Laplace, headed by Christophe Comoy and Luis Laplace, Mount St. Restaurant integrates architecture, art and design. At the same time, allowing the site-specific artists’ commissions to take center stage.

Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the menu is inspired by the capital’s culinary history. However, there are some traditional, albeit updated, London classics. Executive Chef Jamie Shears works closely with farmers, growers and makers to secure the freshest British produce. He sources from around the UK, including beef and lamb from Durslade, the farm in Somerset.
